Ayla's Acres Sanctuary

in Greenville, Florida

Sanctuary hit by Hurricane Helene

We have a 45-acre sanctuary located in Greenville, Florida. This Madison County farm property is a place where more than 80 "un-adoptable" domestic and farm animals, generally those who have been abused and abandoned, may live out their lives with dignity, security, and love. We have 24-hour on-site caretakers, Nedra and Chuck.
On September 26, 2024, our Sanctuary took a direct hit by the Category 4 Hurricane Helene. We are very thankful all of the animals and our caretakers are safe and were unharmed. But due to the high winds there was extensive damage to the structures on the property (images below). We will need to rebuild the barn and the horse stables/tack house, as well as the fencing around the property due to fallen trees and heavy limbs. Madison County, FL was hit directly by Helene causing wide spread power outages, we have several downed power lines on the property.
If you'd like to help us rebuild, please click the donation button below. Or, another way to donate is with food. We go through more than 500 pounds of dry dog food per week. We are always in need of dog and cat food, and hay for the horses and donkeys. Our animal population is aging at the sanctuary, increasing the need for veterinary care. We always accept food and monetary donations.

Donations can be dropped at our Ayla's Acres Thrift Shop located at 413 Anastasia Blvd, St. Augustine, Florida 32080, or by clicking the donate button below.
